Claire Tatyzo
Specialist Advisor, Universities

Claire has over 15 years’ experience advancing gender equality and the primary prevention of gender-based violence, with deep expertise in the design and delivery of evidence-based prevention initiatives.
She has provided strategic policy and practice advice across education, government, corporate and community sectors, and represented Our Watch as a member of the Expert Reference Group for the development of the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-Based Violence 2025.
As Specialist Advisor, Universities at the Our Watch Institute, Claire leads higher education sector partnerships and the design of initiatives that embed primary prevention approaches aligned with the National Code. Working with institutions across the sector, she drives the development of practical solutions that support sustainable cultural change.
A strategic and highly experienced practitioner, Claire brings strong facilitation, training and stakeholder engagement expertise.
Her previous work includes co-designing and implementing community-led prevention campaigns with state and local governments, developing policy submissions and reports across domestic and international gender equality issues, and delivering prevention programs across diverse sectors.
Claire has a nuanced understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing institutions and continues to support the sector to take meaningful, evidence-based action.
